A kick*$$ human princess and a leader of her planet are mated to help meld two cultures. She keeps him on his toes and he falls head over heels! Loved seeing the characters from book one again and can't wait for the next installment!.

I'm really digging this universe and the Vissigroths and how it is all inter-connected. The author creates bad guys that you really get to dislike, and the steam is nice and

Brynn (h), a strong-willed human princess, is forced into an arranged marriage with Garwayn (H), a Vissigroth warrior, for political reasons. While neither of them expects their union to be more than a marraige of convenience, their mutual attraction proves to be unstoppable. As they navigate a world filled with opposition and external threats, Brynn and Garwayn's relationship evolves, blending passion, loyalty, and a shared determination to create a better future. Brynn's fierce determination and physical prowess make her a compelling protagonist, while Garwayn's gradual appreciation for her strength adds depth to their connection. Lots of action and adventure throughout with a side of heat and humor.

I find myself so suprised by this book. I have not read any like this before and that made me appreciate it so much. The storyline was so good and had just enough detail + conflict. The characters are so easy to fall in love with, and you will end reading this one wanting even more. The style of writing has very subtle primal + 1800s romance vibes. Every detail adds to the story incredibly well. I only wish there was more of this couples story!.

Brynn, the female human lead, is a warrior princess, because she was neglected by her father and created her own entertainment. Now grown, she’s effectively the military leader of the small human colony, and has recently been advised that she will marry the alien leader of the planet to secure the human claim to a resource found in their land.

Garwayn, the male alien lead, is disgruntled to have to mate/marry a human. Going to collect his bride, he’s shocked to find the humans under attack and acts to save them, rescuing a “hysterical” female who breaks his nose.

Neither expects their union to be more than business but the attraction between them is significant and ongoing and maybe they can make something more of it, even though the ruler of the planetary union is against human integration AND there are others out to take advantage of the resource in human territory…

This story is dual POV, well written, and a great addition to the series. I enjoyed the integration of the previous story’s lead characters and the relationship between these characters. I enjoyed Brynn’s strength and physical prowess, as well as her determination to succeed at the new role her union thrusts her into. I enjoyed Garwayn’s shock and growing respect for Brynn and his appreciation for who she is, and that he doesn’t expect her to become a normal lady. I enjoyed the erotic intimate scenes as well as the playfulness of the writing and between the characters.
