A solid read. Fantastic art, although at times it gets so sketchy I’m not sure what’s going on. At times the writing feels a little on the nose but overall I enjoyed it.

In hindsight I may have given this one more star than what reflects how much I enjoyed it.

I love the initial premise, so enjoyed the first chapter the most. But as the story developed it went in directions that I found to be somewhat pedestrian. Personally I would have preferred if the two leads didn't join up so quickly and carried on parallel storylines the occasionally intersected.

I"m not a big fan of this style of art. I'd rather a strong black line, not the mix of colour blocks and occasional outlines this was made up of. At times it was difficult to understand what was being depicted, especially in the space scenes.

One other thing that bothered me was more information about the setting was revealed in the end notes, instead of in the book itself.
I didn't realise it was set around a few planets in a shared solar system which would been helpful in establishing the story in my mind.

Others certainly are enjoying this, so I don't want to rain of their parade. I'll read the next volume and see were this tale leads...

The art is really cool but I found the plot and characters boring. It’s exactly the kind of genre I love but I just couldn’t get into this one.

Arc was provided by Edelweiss + in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this graphic novel. It was just the right amount of sci-fi and space nuns. However I do believe if the art was a little more polished I would have loved it even more. The story line was fantastic and interesting.

A sci-fi setting for this gorgeously illustrated story about an amazon-like interplanetary retailer and a religious order of nuns dominating the political scene of this world.

Pro: - the premise is super interesting, in the right hands, this could be an amazing story about politics, consumerism, self sacrifice, religion
- it’s superbly illustrated, I would not mind to have a couple of prints hanged, that’s how good they are
- it has potential to become a more powerful and complex story

Come: - it’s jumbled and underdeveloped, the story needed more time and framing
- we are not given enough time to care about most of the characters
- plot holes and unconvincing explanations

It’s worth a read, but it could have been so much better

Cool art, interesting premise but was thrown into the story a bit to fast to hold any solid connections to the characters. Overall a good time.

I love the artwork, premise and characters in this and the pacing is lightning fast- maybe too fast! There are quite a few characters and side stories going on in such a short amount of time that I think it was a disservice to the quality that this book could be (and should have been). I will definitely keep reading additional volumes though.
