Oh man I tried. I really liked Juked and I was a little reluctant to read a book about Tiffany. I didn't like her in Juked and I don't understand the groupie mindset. Don't get me wrong, I am all for women making the decision to have sex, whenever and with whomever they want. But in this book, there is cheating, a lot of cheating and the way it's presented is awful. She doesn't care that some of these men are married and the groupie doesn't care.
Some people may enjoy this story but it is not for me.

An extremely enjoyable story, that had me hooked from the very start and kept me engaged and entertained throughout. It was also really easy to read. So much so, I devoured this book in just a couple of hours. As well as being quite sweet. The story had a few hot moments and was certainly a lot less emotional than the authors previous books. As for the two main characters, Tiffany and Rowen. They worked really well together, were well suited and I honestly found myself really liking Tiffany after just a couple of chapters. Which did surprise me, as she was definitely not one of my favourite characters from Juked. All in all though it was a great story and definitely worth a read especially if you have read and enjoyed Juked.

I read Santos and Marianna's book first which is why I checked this one out. Tiffany and her husband are characters they both interact with a lot in that book so I was curious.

I think my biggest problem with this book is that the author wants to show a sexually liberated, smart, tough woman (which I am all for) but then puts her in situations that make her look like a stupid (their my friends!), selfish (I am not hurting anyone/no ones business) and weak (when her picture is shared she melts down instead of going to kick some butt) person. She felt like a sham instead of a genuine free spirited person. I think some more interactions with her own mom might have helped flush her out more instead of so much revolving around just the team. And the fact that she is just so intelligent! and a TV producer at 22! - felt unrealistic. Unless she was fucking someone to get that job also - but hey she doesn't fuck for that reason! Just to enjoy sex with friends - married or not. I think she showed some growth but honestly again it didn't feel authentic.

As for Rowen I wasn't a fan. Any guy I know of who waits for sex (mostly religious), also expects his future wife to be much the same. His reasons made sense but at the same time I just wasn't buying it from this character. In addition the fact that he saw her having sex with other guys, heard about it ad nauseum, and knew some of them were married but shrugged it off just meant he came across as kind of a hypocrite. I didn't find him enlighted, sweet or thoughtful. I actually personally found him annoying and seriously not very deep. Did they talk about anything that wasn't sports or team related? I skipped most of his scenes especially with his parents. It read like trying too hard for me - 'look at how different he is' - it's because of his cool parents, who bugged me even more than he did.

The writing is good but the plot and the characters all left me with a feeling of meh. To each his own but I ended up not caring about Tiffany or Rowen which well, means I'll forget about this book in a month.

Rowen and Tiffany are goals. Sure she has a past, who doesn't?? But that doesn't spoil her chances of a great future with a guy who's literally every girls DREAM in a beanie!

ME Carter has blown me away in the last month as I read Daniel and Quincey's story [Juked] and now, Rowen and Tiffany's. I never thought that I would love a sport series so much! I know almost NOTHING about soccer, and while I'm learning a little about the game, I love learning about these characters and their lives more. I love seeing the growth in these people, and how they change and adapt from the beginning of the book, to the very end.

Rowen is a Football Legend's kid, his father well known in the European circuit. Tiffany is a groupie who follows the team around, parties with them and has kind of a bad reputation. We first met both characters in Juked, as Daniel is on the team with the rookie, and Quincey has a few run ins with Tiffany. They were both just side characters, and at that point, I wanted to hate Tiffany. Don't get me wrong, you do NOT have to read Juked to read Groupie, but you're going to want to read it as soon as you finish! This series is amazing and ME Carter is a master of all the words!

I especially loved Geni, and her growth in understanding towards Tiffany, and eventually her protectiveness. I bawled at one point towards the 3/4 mark when Quincey relayed to Tiffany what Geni said about her and a situation that happened.... it was so wonderful to see the girl relationships grow as much as the romance in the story. But, ME... I wanted to know... did they ever get her apartment door repainted? LOL

Holy... can't wait to start book 3

I'm not new to M.E Carter, I recently started with her back log and I absolutely am loving this Mutiny series.
What can I say about Tiffany you kinda wanna hate her but at the same time you feel for her. Some horrible stuff happens to her but how she handles it was amazing, I don't think I would be able to if I was in her shoes. I can't wait to start the next book in the series.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this book when I saw it was about Tiffany, the team "groupie" who in the first book was not painted in a great light.

However, M.E. Carter did a great job of showing the many dimensions of Tiffany and I ended up really liking this book.

And I loved Rowan and what became of him and Tiffany!

I actually liked this book much more than I thought I would. I'm hesitant to start Goalie though because I don't really care for Santos. At all.

Handing out five stars cause of all the slut shaming in the reviews.

Sure, I don't agree with the heroine's choices and can't say I like her or anything. But come on, do we really need to say she is a whore?
I'd be super mad at her if she was sleeping with my hubby but then I'd be even madder at that piece of sh# living in my House. okay, okay I know she is the Main Protagonist in this book and so on and yeah normally I'd also rate this with one star but... I don't know... I just don't agree with the labelling.

4 Stars rounded way up for a reason (see below)

So obviously there are people who don’t like this book based on Tiffany’s actions as a “Groupie” but given the title and the talk in the previous book I knew what to expect and went into it wanting M E Carter to change my mind about a character I didn’t like much in the first book. And she did that and more. She brought attention to the double standards when it comes to highly sexually active women of course but she also went deeper. Like how sharing a naked picture of someone without their consent on IG should be treated like the sexual assault it is. Did I like that Tiffany had had sex with married men? No of course not but she isn’t the only one to blame in that situation and her prior actions were explained. She didn’t remain that way once she started dating Rowen. He did a wonderful job of making her realize she really wanted more and ended up with a deeper relationship than she ever had with anyone before. I tend to enjoy the virgin meets highly sexual partner troupe but I enjoy it more when the genders are reversed from the norm. This one had its unique spin on that and one of the best lines from a male virgin I’ve heard.
“ You’re never allowed to give me a blow job again. This is so much better.”
Plus I was very happy with the ending.

This book was very well written and I’m rating it high on purpose to counterbalance the one star reviews from people who haven’t even read the book. I understand this book is not for everyone but you can get a hint from the title (and the blurb) what it’s about so if it’s not you thing, skip it. But don’t give it a low rating just because you don’t agree with the subject matter. That would be like giving your local Olive Garden a one star on Yelp because you don’t like spaghetti.

Ok favorite quote time.

““I want to know that the only person I’ve ever felt from the inside out, the only person who’s eyes I’ve looked into in the throws of passion, in the most intimate moment two people can share, I want to know that the person I have all that with is the one I love more than anyone or anything else in the world, forever.”
