Did they really turn the national anthem into something I’ll never hear the same way again?!
I had a big gap between the first one and this one and didn’t really feel like it was a big deal. Definitely read them in order because couple spoilers but otherwise not super important to remember every detail of the previous book.
Also the Russian?
Relatable babe. Cheese and milk products🥲💀

I loved Liv. I see so much of myself in her. Her trust issues, her sarcasm. The way she pushes people away when they get too close. Her fiery passion for justice.
The progression of their relationship and their bantering and friendship was priceless and precious. I love them.

Liv and Mack are just great and I love them, as characters, as a couple, as partners, as everything they offered me in this book. It's funny, delightful, heart-warming, and hit in all the right spots. The new characters were such a solid addition (I confess I was afraid to be stuck in the same circle of characters as it seems to be the case in the romance books I've read before). Even the rooster and the hens are a great touch, not even joking here.
And I love Liv. What a woman, Mack is lucky to have her.

It was a frustrating read, but I would still recommend because the friendship the Bromance have with each other is touching and shows what support between men should look like. Hyping each other during a rough break up or hard time in a marriage. To be there and listen. That what I love about this series. Vlad, aka the Russian, is also too funny. He’s probably one of my favorite characters 💙

This series always leaves me crying because the way the friendships are represent feel really wholesome to me. Besides, the way the main characters develop to be able to be together is a huge important point for me, and Lyssa Kay Adams just does it the right way in my opinion.
