*It's in His Kiss* by Julia Quinn was another fantastic read! I’ve been quickly falling in love with the Bridgerton series, and this installment, focused on Hyacinth, did not disappoint. She’s sassy, witty, and utterly charming, and her interactions with Gareth were exactly what I was hoping for—filled with playful banter, undeniable chemistry, and genuine emotion.

As a mystery lover, I particularly enjoyed the intriguing subplot of family secrets woven into the romance. The quest to uncover hidden truths kept me hooked, and I loved how Hyacinth, with her sharp mind and determination, made it her mission to solve the mystery. Watching her and Gareth’s relationship unfold felt so natural—they started as two people challenging each other and gradually built a connection rooted in vulnerability and trust.

This book hit all the right notes for me—a perfect mix of humor, romance, and a bit of intrigue, all wrapped up in that classic Bridgerton charm. It’s one of those reads that leaves you with a smile long after you’ve turned the last page.

Boring story, stretched out dialogues. I couldn't feel any connection with the characters whatsoever.

It was nice that this was less about the couple and the drama around their match, and more about the mysteries of Gareth's origins. I really liked him btw.

Probably 3.5 stars but I found the format more annoying than any of the others. I guess it was supposed to be a narrator to go with reading the stories but meh. Didn’t care much for Gareth either and I wish more than brief appearances by Anthony and Daphne had been included.

another one of my favourites :) hyacinth is another lovely character - the bridgerton daughters are brilliant. and gareth is very very sweet.

the storyline was odd - it was less about their courtship and more about the translation of the diary and the search for the jewels - but their moments together were great.

i enjoyed the fact that they weren't forced together for any reason, and gareth put in the effort to go and ask anthony for his approval. that was very sweet!

i did not enjoy gareth's intention to compromise hyacinth in order to trap her in marriage but i think we all know he was really doing it for different reasons.

the further exploration into lady danbury's character was lovely and hyacinth's relationship with her was a pleasure. i love how she takes the young women under her wing (just like with penelope).

only one left - im reluctant to finish the series because i have really enjoyed it!
