Grady Miller is a star NHL player who excels at everything related to hockey. Scoring with women is a whole different game. Grady is a virgin, and while he's not totally clueless around women, he has a great ability to say the wrong thing around them. A prime example is when he introduced himself to Scout Thomas at a party, even though he's been visiting her very popular donut truck for years. Scout was less than impressed the hockey player she's been crushing on didn't remember her and makes it known every time she glares at him. Grady's determined to apologize to her and become friends with her. He wasn't prepared for how much he would like her and want to be more than friends.

I wanted to read this book because it's a reverse grumpy sunshine, and as a grumpy woman myself, I love reading about grumpy women. Add on the reverse age gap and a virgin hero, I was sold. This was cute. Grady is the star of the book. He's got perfect golden retriever energy mixed with a dirty mouth. He falls first and is sweet with Scout. I love that he found her body beautiful. Scout was okay. I saw parts of my grumpiness in her, especially her stubborn streak. I didn't side with her at the conflict. She was wrong for what she said and did. I'm glad they worked it out, but I was hoping for a little more from the ending.Β

I love this series and if you're a hockey romance fan you need to check it out!

Scoring Chance gives us the story of sweet cinnamon roll Miller. This book is filled with laugh out loud moments of Miller awkwardness but it'll only make you love him more. Scout is the perfect match for him. She's coming off a long dry spell with lots of emotions behind starting a new relationship. With his sweet persistence she finds herself falling for the hockey player. Their story was a great read!

Loved being back with the Comets and all the past players showing up. I also want Scout's sisters story!

Oh Miller. He is just too adorable in his over the top awkward ways and I loved that we got to learn more about his past and how it really explains a lot about him. I looooved Scout so much. I feel like we got to know her so well and really understand her and get inside her heat. It was steamy and also adorable and I enjoyed it so much.

Every time Teagan releases a new book in the Carolina Comets series, I think it'll always be my favorite. That is until she releases another book. Miller is just amazing. He has sass, sarcasm, innocence, and embarrassment wrapped up in a confident and cocky virginal hockey player package. It is the most unique combination I've ever read of a male main character and it was so incredibly refreshing to read. He's an idiot at first, admits his idiocy, and then basically just wears Scout down until she lets him in. Their courtship is lengthy but steamy, and Miller's willingness to learn from Scout is super endearing. I absolutely love their relationship and hope whenever Teagan finishes this series, she gives them one hell of an epilogue. Also, in case anyone didn't know: sign up for Teagan's newsletter and you can read bonus content for all of the Comets books! No clue how I've missed that until now. The bonus content is all amazing!!
