"You are the kindest person I know. In a sea of angry, hateful faces, you were the first person to show me compassion when I was new and frightened. Do not doubt yourself because of the hateful rhetoric Raphael spews."

Four years Theo has spent her life repenting for being a demon at St. Mary's Assimilation School for Wayward Souls under the harsh observation of an Archangel who has it out for her. Each day she must remind herself only one more year and she is free. Free from the punishment, the suppression of her magic, from him. But the arrival of a wrongly accused Angel might derail all her plans. As much as she tries, she cannot avoid the little cherub, and after all these years she might succumb to sin after all.

An incredibly fast but haunting, beautiful, and hot read. Forbidden romance is my absolute favorite and make it sapphic between a demon and an angel? I am hooked. The friendship that slowly builds to a relationship is sweet and I love how protective Theo is of Esther. There were some moments I wish I could reach through the pages and save them from what was happening, and they might be a huge trigger if you have endured any religious trauma.

"Are you going to be mine, angel? You going to be so good for me?"

There is a HEA, but I hope that we see more of this world and of these two.

New to me authors

This was quite a surprising read actually, I had a general idea of what the book would be about but the surprising element for me was that angel (when you read it you will see) and those bits he was in was very off putting but written well.

Overall, it’s a bit of a discovery kind of story especially from Esther’s perspective and I’m glad it ended how it did. I did check to see if it was part of a series but it’s not.

This book flew by. I read it in one sitting and was surprised by how much character development and story building our authors were able to fit into such a quick read. I can't wait to read more books by these amazing authors.

TW for r*pe and SA

This totally would have been 5 stars if not for the graphic descriptions (multiple!) of the above - and from the POV of the person doing the assaulting, which made it so much worse. It went from a demonstration of how evil he was to something almost gratuitous and it was gross. I didn't need his POV, and I absolutely didn't need 3 separate r*pe scenes.

Other than that, I really loved this book - it's not for the faint of heart, or those with religious trauma, but the relationship between the MCs was really sweet and genuine.

I could not wait to read this one! I loved every moment of it. It is spicy, a bit dark, but definitely a fun read. I was not sure what to expect going into it. I knew the tropes, did not read the blurb, but was not expecting a POV from a 3rd person. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

This isn’t my normal type of read, however, I will say that I enjoyed the story.

Theo is a demon and Esther is an angel. Their paths cross and from that moment there is a connection from the start. They are two people who aren’t suppose to be together and there is a lot going against them, but I love that neither of them let that stop them.

I loved that there was a foundation of a friendship between Theo and Esther before it shifted to a relationship. I love that Theo was protective when it came to Esther throughout the course of the story.

If you’re looking for a dark, paranormal, forbidden, FF romance check this one out.

god, I wanted to love this dark FF paranormal romance book between an angel and a demon. I desperately wanted to devour it.

But there's SO much SA in this short 100-page book... and you get the POV from the male who does the assault.... and that just felt icky to me. I couldn't understand WHY we even got his POV in the first place.

This just wasn't for me...
