2⭐️. This just wasn’t it for me. It was short and decently fast paced but the 8-11 year old girls in it.. hits too close to home. Fear of airplanes already and my increasing anxiety as an adult… double check. It was almost laughable how many bad things happen in rapid succession. The rescue is super predictable too. I’m glad it’s done, tough one to get through.

The story starts with a bang and it really does not let up the whole way through. Shortly after take off, a plane's engine fails and it is going down into the ocean, full of passengers. Some passengers choose to evacuate, while others remain on the plane, sinking deeper into the ocean, with dire consequences for both sets of passengers. Onboard is an engineer and his child, and he helps the team above try to navigate the precarious situation. All the while the child's mother is above ground in the rescue team, which only adds to the tension.

I felt myself tense through parts, hoping for the best but fearing the worst. It was gripping with non-stop action and one of those books I just could not put down. Sensational!

Congrats to the author on another fabulous novel
Thank you to the publisher for the gifted copy. As always, opinions are my own
