Fantastical but riveting! And while the side story of the sister was important it played its role perfectly. Didn’t take over and flash back too much..really enjoyed

WOW. so good. any book that makes me cry is an auto 5 stars. the thrill of this book was incredible and I couldn’t put it down, but the twists weren’t as much story twists as they were plot thickeners, if that makes sense. the themes and emotional depth of this book moved me. I’m a sucker for a good story that also talks about dads and daughters and leaning on each other to get through hard things.

I felt this book had a lot of potential and promise, and I think I enjoyed it more than the first one overall.
However, the more I thought about this one, the more it made no sense. Throughout the book, Will keeps challenging Fitz and keeps snapping about Chris’s plan, even though he’s simply an engineer on something sort of adjacently related to what’s going on. EVERYONE in this book keeps saying that what’s happening is impossible and saving the passengers is impossible, yet Will refuses to go along with Fitz’s plan because….ego? Because he thinks his wife will somehow come up with a better plan despite the fact she’s emotionally compromised? Who knows.
I also wish they explained more about what happened to the plane to cause the accident. Was it the airline’s fault? Freak accident? Starting the book in the middle of it happening was not my cup of tea.
I don’t know. It was fine, the beginning was great, and it was enjoyable if you turned your brain off.

The plot and pace on this were enough to keep me reading, but the writing was not for me. Anything relating to the characters’ feelings was clunky and predictable.
