That my cat chose the "Gathering Of Waters" volume to be the one she knocked ito the toilet is probably not some sort of sign. Some things are just coincidence.

Consistency is still the driving force of this story. Unlike [b:The Walking Dead, Compendium 1|6465707|The Walking Dead, Compendium 1|Robert Kirkman|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1449865699l/6465707._SY75_.jpg|6656179], [b:Locke and Key: Welcome to Lovecraft #1|22085618|Locke and Key Welcome to Lovecraft #1|Joe Hill|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1400067650l/22085618._SY75_.jpg|44747155], or even [b:The Sandman Omnibus, Vol. 1|17137673|The Sandman Omnibus, Vol. 1|Neil Gaiman|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1380716035l/17137673._SY75_.jpg|23539713], there aren't a lot of peaks and valleys to the story. It doesn't feel like a story being written as it came out in issues or trades, it feels like someone took a completed story and serialized it. No aside goes unexamined. There's no [b:Strangers In Paradise, Pocket Book 3|724114|Strangers In Paradise, Pocket Book 3|Terry Moore|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1348664720l/724114._SX50_.jpg|1811008] turn where the author has an interesting idea, realizes it doesn't work and has to retcon it or pretend it didn't happen. Every piece of the story feels relevant and intriguing. I regret not reding this series sooner.

Pieces are starting to fall into place about what is actually happening. Kind of. And, as usual with these kinds of stories, the "monsters" are scary, but the humans are starting to cause more problems than the revivers.

This one was all over the place, but I will likely continue the story...

Everything changed when the dead rose. And everybody changed again when one of them put a bomb in her chest and blew up the mayor.

Reread 2018. Kept original rating.

I'm not sure if it's just because I'm tired, or because the hubby kept talking to me as I was reading, or because the dog was all over the place, but this album felt kind of messy to me.

There were some really interesting things going on. I love the whole Mill thing and the evolution in Em is really interesting. I also like the Farm—story, but something in this album just feel a little messy.
Or it may just be that I get annoyed at all the crazies.

Maybe it's just been awhile since I read the last one, but I felt like I was missing some essential pieces in this one. It was confusing.
