I feel like this is a book which you need to read once you’re older. But I’m not at that age yet. But I disagree with the whole “you can smile your way out of cancer” thing.

"You can heal your life" is one of the most important books I've come across and this was the third time I read it in the past couple of years. It advocates the idea that we are perfectly capable of healing our bodies and correcting whatever is wrong in any and every aspect of our lives. All that we need to do in order to achieve that is bring ourselves to change the thoughts we think and the words we speak. Sounds simple, but it requires an invariable commitment on one's part.
I read it for the first time in the winter of 2015, I think and re-read it as soon as I finished it. I was going through a difficult time, and couldn't change myself then.
The teacher had appeared, but the student wasn't ready...
Louise is one of the pioneers of the "change your thoughts, change your life" approach, which has helped tons of people all over the world gain their lives back, literally and figuratively. She cured herself of cancer by cleansing her mind, body and soul with this path. Gregg Braden did the same thing. Incredible, right?
I've learned so much from this book and have begun applying it in my life. It's not easy, but I'm not going to let myself digress this time around. Change takes time.. but it's worth it.
"Thoughts and words create our future experiences."
I feel wonderful in the present too. I have always suffered from severe anxiety. Sometimes, I seriously fear my head would explode. And I can't stop it... But I'm feeling less anxious now than when I started. The process of forgiving, letting go of resentment and guilt, is somehow calming me and cleansing my mind and soul. I can feel it. But, of course, I would have to stick with it.
Loving and approving of ourselves is another important advice in this book, and it's so important. It's new and hard, but absolutely necessary for me to do.
And why so many hate reviews?! Alright, I get it if someone doesn't like it or disagrees with what's written in there, but it's unfair when people pick out one single sentence and write an out and out negative review about the whole book based on that. You do realize that some prospective readers place considerable weight on other readers' reviews and whether they read the book or not depends on what they read about the book, right? And this is life changing stuff! People can save their lives with the knowledge this book offers. I'm glad I read the reviews after reading the book.
She discovered something good and shared it with the world. I think, that's great.

Dear Oprah,
I typically appreciate your literary leadership. "The Secret" and I have had some good times together. I even enjoyed A Million Little Pieces despite the lies. However, you have dropped the ball on this one. This chick is crazy! She has some good ideas, sort of, but wow this one was hokey hokey hokey. I forced myself to read it, and I wish I hadn't. Feel free to make it up to me by sending me a new car.
