It barely scratches the surface.

this book went in places that were more personal than I expected, in more ways than one. but the most personal was reading about the author battle with searching for answers about his health, because that's something I've been going thru for almost four years now. some of these feelings I've felt but never gave words to. some things hurt too much to put in words but I feel better now for having read them
I don't think it's something that a person who hasn't gone through medical trauma can really understand. on the other hand, reading all that and then finding out it's only been five months for the author? this is not a contest, obviously. but there was a special spark of black humor about that. I remember thinking that was long.
idk if I can recommend the book. there were a lot of messed up parts that were never addressed. never commented on. just laid there, seemingly for shock value.
but it is valuable for what it is, a story of a person making peace with his HIV positivite status in 2016. it's remarkable how far we've come

Ben scritto e ben letto.
