Silly, cheesy, smutty and not much else. A lighthearted but kinda dumb short story about a cinnamon roll Orc and a curvy blond baker. The world building here was weird, it’s kind of medieval but they have mobile phones and Brittney Spears music. The Orc also kind of read like a shifter with an inner Orc voice named ‘Guns’ who controlled his urges and gave a fated mates feeling. Also his claws were retractable? But mostly this story was about a human and an Orc getting it on, so I guess I’m not really supposed to concern myself with plot and setting inconsistencies.
Anyway I could do without the overly sexual grandmother gag, it just makes me cringe and I don’t find it funny and it was used a lot in this novella. No one wants to hear their Gran giving them sex advice or gifting them with sex toys, just no. Not funny.
This reads in under an hour, but hours are precious, so I’d recommend occupying yours with something other than this dumb book.

The third act breakup was fine but the grandma giving her granddaughter a box of s*x toys? I would rather use one of the ogre blacksmith’s metal poles and stake myself in the eyes than ever open a box like that from my grandma

Cute enough, but bland and stale. And, while I realize the change in Gunner's character in the bedroom was purposeful, it still felt wrong.

This book is adorable,yet steamy. Shy Gunner is not so shy in the bedroom! Ryklee is sweet and mostly goes for what she wants. She just needs a little confidence
