I went up and down with this but in the end I think I really liked it! Love a good sister story and seeing how they come together and what they hide from each other. I ended up really feeling for beck even though some of her choices seemed bizarre at times. There was one large pretty unbelievable coincidence at the end that I didn’t love but still enjoyed how it concluded. Not to spoil it but everything really seems to work out the way it was supposed to for everyone and I like a good no loose ends ending!!

I liked the book and the characters, but I didn’t love the ending. It felt rushed. We’d spent so much time building up to this sister’s weekend and the house sale and it just happened so quickly.

Thank you Netgalley, St. Martin's Press and Therese Anne Fowler for free e-ARC of It All Comes Down to This in return of my honest review.

I am quite surprised at the low rating, to be honest, becaU do not think it makes the book justice. Yes, it will not become a classic of contemporary literature, however I found the narrative comforting and storyline sympathetic.

After their mother’s death, three sisters had to cone together to acknowledge the loss and to deal with inherited property that all three share wonderful memories of. All three have grown to be independent women with the flows, and all three see the inherited property to only their personal advantage. However, life works in mysterious ways (or was it last wish if their dying mother to make the sister become closer) and their ways of living has changed due to some unforeseen events.

Yes, the plot is slow burning, and I am mot sure if the novel is actually a plot-based one. I feel it is more a character-based which, in my humble opinion, turned pit pretty well. All sisters were fully developed through childhood memories, present time and interaction between each other and with the world in general. The narration is cozy, the way Therese Anne Fowler spins the story and weaves it together, is like a warm blanket that covers the reader and warms her up. There are sone discrepancies about the way characters think, however, I feel like it shows their human nature - people try to be their best (sometimes) and not always succeed.

Overall, I think it is a solid read and don’t be discouraged by low rating and sad reviews- pick it up. You may like it. I am looking forward to more work by Therese Anne Fowler.

Therese Anne Fowler has become one of my must-read authors. I was so excited to get my hands on her newest novel as an ARC and it did not disappoint. Give me a nice, layered family drama any day. I had high expectations of this book after how much I loved Fowler's last novel and I was not disappointed at all.

This story follows a family of 3 sisters after their mother's passing. The relationships between them is not what you would call close. They are as opposite as siblings can be, but they have to come together to deal with their mother's estate and final wishes.

I enjoyed all three of the girls immensely and each one's storyline kept me hooked. It definitely did not end the way that I had expected, but I still loved the ending. Overall, one of my favorite reads of the year so far.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. The above opinions are all my own.

After their mother's passing, the Geller sisters, Beck, Claire, and Sophie, are brought back together after years apart. Forcing the sisters to confront their past and current struggles while they work through their own grief. What ensues is a story of sibling rivalry and family drama that is brought to light while they gather at their family cottage one last time in Mount Desert Island, Maine.

Fowler brings to light the complexities of grief in "It All Comes Down to This." While not all of her characters are likeable, she captures grief, sisterhood, forgiveness, romance, friendship, and so much more through descriptive prose. While at times the story seemed to drag, it concluded with a satisfying ending that tied all of the pieces of this ⭐️⭐️⭐️ story together.

If you're a "Little Women” fan, you'll love the references she sprinkles throughout the story. Those were my favorite part!

A sweet surface level family drama; Felt like the author only dipped her toe into each character’s storyline without the follow through and depth. It read like a tv show that you have in the background while you clean the house. The dedication page and the references to Maine are what made me pick it up, but all-in-all a forgettable story.
