While this book didn't reach the heights of AMAZING, I found it quite enjoyable overall.
Admittedly, it felt a tad lengthy, some of the dialogue was sometimes way too cheesy, and the ending seemed hurried. However, it is very well written, and I was definitely caught in the intrigue.
Though nothing particularly remarkable or unforgettable, I did find myself really enjoying it.

I had to rewind several times to remind myself which Lord was which, so the rest of the series will probably be better for me on Kindle.

I enjoyed listening to this story, the audio is done extremely well, fully capturing emotion and sentiment. I simply love Amy Rose Bennett’s voice! She tells a story that captures you and sucks you in. Nate is a hero filled with anguish and brooding angst, utterly refusing to fall in love and equally blind when it does in fact happen. Sophie is an eternal optimist, ever true to her own heart. The pain of denial was so strong I literally felt it to the bone. I loved the back story of the Disreputable Debutantes, disgraced when caught with naught literature, cigars and alcohol… a typical boarding school scandal that marks each of the girls and sets the tone for this series. It is fun and daring and a little wicked, which is a fabulous start if to ask me. Can’t wait to read more!

Great story about these ladies taking charge of their lives in a time that was frowned upon. Poor Nate didn't know what hit him when his sister decided to use his roguish ways to her advantage to help with him & her best friend Sophie find love.

I listened to the audio book of this and rather enjoyed it. Sophie was a shy gentle lady who had a streak for the naughty. She enjoyed learning about it and experiencing it with Nate. She didn’t back down when it came to exploring her feelings. Nate’s background of why he can’t love was rather sad. It made you feel bad for him. He didn’t try to play with her heart. He told her upfront he could never love or marry her. I didn’t feel like he used or abused her. It was a struggle for him. Overall an easy book to listen too while I work.

I wanted to rate this book book higher because I enjoyed the writing and found it entertaining. Unfortunate Sophie seemed very bland and uninteresting to me. Naturally we are supposed to find her beautiful, witty, unusual and mesmerising .. but really she just came across very beautiful but rather insipid and bland. The other female characters were actually much more engaging and I'm looking forward to their stories more ...
The other thing that detracted is that perhaps I'm getting old but the idea of a rakehell no longer appeals. Nate is handsome and charming... but to me he came across as a somewhat useless dandy with no real skills, talents or intellect to recommend himself. Also, there was much talk of all the conquests of Nate and his friends and all I could think about was syphilis - which was a real romance dampener. That being said, the book was enjoyable - I just didn't like either of the main characters even though I know I was supposed to.

Very pleasant book, and a good intro to the series.
I like that he's obviously infatuated with her, it makes the relationship easier to reas. I wish the book would have explored her merits more, I'm not quite sure what all the men saw in her. And I like how he suffers when she's away.
