⭐️ 4 "Pranks" Stars ⭐️
Roping the Cowboy was such a light and funny read! I’ve loved the Bishop Brothers Series so much and to return in this world at the Circle B Ranch was amazing.

This time it’s the story of Kat and Braxton; one charged with tension! After a one-night stand and miscommunication their relationship is difficult and a rivalry starts with every occasion to prank each other. I enjoyed their chemistry and the sparks flying whenever they’re together. Yes, Braxton is cocky but also charming and sweet! Kat is a spitfire and a perfect match to the cowboy. I enjoyed the progression of their romance toward something so beautiful! The fact some of the characters from previous novels are present in the story made it even more interesting.

Kennedy Fox seized my whole attention with this short, irresistible read! I want more of these stories set at the ranch!

A quick-read, didn’t really emerge myself in the story. A nice distraction but way too rushed (as it is a short novella) to be properly enjoyed.

3.5 rounded to a 4 until goodreads decides to give us our half-stars. I found the Read Me Romance podcast and it has helped my last two work days fly by! I love Kennedy Fox, and I really liked these two characters (I also love the Bishop Brothers) too. I wish this would have just been a little longer!

This was okay, but nothing really draws you in. Braxton and Kat hookup for one night. She rudely kicks him out the next morning. They have mutual friends and she delivers muffins daily to their Ranch where H works. They play the game where they are both mutually mean to one another. After some mean pranks they hook up again, fall in Love and get their HEA.

This novella is a good “taste tester” for the rest of the series if you’re not sure about starting one of the full length novel! The only problem I had was that it felt like the enemies to lovers bit was sped up way too fast in order to fit it into half the amount of pages of one of the other books in the series. I also didn’t feel connected to either of the characters that well. Braxton was a hot cowboy who treats women with respect and Kat was an ex snobby rich kid who owns and runs her own bakery. Their bickering back and forth didn’t really feel resolved after they got together. Almost like they were so hot together that it didn’t matter what prejudices they held against one another? I don’t know, that’s just the impression I got, lol, but I tend to read into things and expect one thing to happen and when it doesn’t I get disappointed.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, so I will have to continue on and maybe not read the novellas.
