Been looking forward to this book since I found this series which I then just binged really look forward to seeing Jones find this forever after especially as the fact that it’s with someone who works for the NFL team and that’s an no no for work colleagues.
I love Gillian’s character in the way that she takes no-nonsense especially from a group of three testosterone ridden NFL players that can easily Matoma date anybody but I love how she holds everyones attention and demands respect. Absolutely love the series are can’t wait for more

I said it before but I’ll say it again : [a:Lauren Blakely|6860216|Lauren Blakely|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1451275317p2/6860216.jpg] writes the best book boyfriends. Just before Most Likely To Score, I read [bc:The V Card|36398892|The V Card|Lauren Blakely|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1509551729s/36398892.jpg|58092286] and completely fell for Graham. And here I am, falling again, but this time for Jones, a swoon-worthy hero who is – and Jillian says it better than me – “the most intoxicating mix of rough and tender".

Most Likely To Score is the perfect read when you need something romantic, sweet and absolutely sexy.

You know that smile you can’t wipe off your face while reading that book you just can’t put down ? Well, this is that kind of read. From the very start, I loved the teasing between them, the bluntness and wit of Jones and how strong-spirited Jillian was. I appreciated how close they were to their family and Jillian‘s story was moving and adorable.

"As the woman behind the lens shoots another photo with my favorite ball covering my favorite balls, Jillian doesn’t even spare me a glance."

Lauren Blakely is definitely on my auto-buy authors list. I know I can never go wrong with her books. One thing I love most about this author is how well she plays with words, her humor and flawless stories.

"He gives my search bar quite a workout."

Jones and Jillian are both secretly attracted to each other but have different ways of dealing with it. While Jones tries to make her understand with innuendos, Jillian tries really hard to ignore him and make sure he never knows. As his publicist, she’s helping him rebuild his image so having an affair with him is definitely not a good idea.

Jones made me swoon with his flirting and humor. The thing about this character is that he doesn’t only have a pretty face, he’s also genuine and has a good heart. And when that perfect guy gets jealous you just lose it.

"Take that, brainy boy. I’ve got a kitten and I’m not afraid to use it."

I speak a lot about Jones because he seriously blew me away with his perfection but I loved Jillian too. She was a great character. A hard-working, independent and respected woman. Totally badass as well! I could totally imagine her, making her way in the locker room, dressed in a sexy but professional way and totally earning respect from everyone because she knew her work and knew how to handle flirty football players. I loved that!

“If I could, I would date you. I would take you out. I would romance you. I would do all the things I haven’t done before."

The romance is so refreshing. The connection so palpable. You can sense their attraction. Their chemistry is so obvious, even as friends. They’re both really positive people. They’re sweet, caring and so trusting. How their relationship evolves is amazing and so natural. You could feel their love in each word.

“There is a key in the side of your purse.” “Let yourself in. You’ll understand why.”

Also, get ready for really hot scenes. This was one sexy couple! If you’re familiar with this author’s work, you know you won’t be disappointed.

“I need you to know I’m a one-woman kind of guy.”

I don’t know how to express accurately how much I loved this story but I know this is a book I’m going to reread. Because they’re so much scenes I kept thinking about after I put down the book. I think you can tell by all the quotes. I’ve never quoted a book as much before (haha!). And that’s how you know a read has become a favorite of yours. When it leaves you wanting more and not willing to part with the beautiful characters.

This was a cute story. Jillian and Jones worked together and that was their biggest obstacle to finding love, but they were able to overcome it. The sex scenes were hot and I’d caution people reading this book in public because they were steamy enough to have me shifting in my seat. My biggest complaint about this book was there were times that I felt there was more telling going on than showing. I want to see the characters do something rather than be told they did it. Despite that complaint, this was a solid book and I enjoyed reading it.

This was a light, fun and quick read, I read almost the whole thing in one setting. I loved Jones and Jillian. Jones's scenes with his dog had me melting because there is nothing better than a guy and his dog. I adored everything about Jillian; she smart, she's focused on her career and she has the best relationship with her Dad. While I really liked this it was missing that little spark to send it into the I loved it category. All in all this was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon while waiting for my daughter at cheer practice.

Jones Beckett is cleaning up his act, long gone are his party boy ways. In order to help him stay on the straight and narrow his agents asks the Renegades publicist, Jillian to help. Jones is over the moon at the prospect of spending time with Jillian, his favourite past time is flirting with her. What neither of them really considered was the effect working in close proximity would have on their unrequited attraction. But what happens when they realise that attraction is mutual?

Lauren Blakely has done it again! I have fallen in love… again! Is there a book boyfriend of Lauren’s I haven’t fallen head over heels in love with? I don’t think there is. She just has this way with her male characters. I am a huge fan of her male POV, are we sure she’s not a man? She always gets it so spot on. That being said, I really loved that this book was a dual POV, getting insights into both Jones and Jillian really made their story stand out. I love the way Lauren writes, it always makes me feel such a vast array of emotions. I swoon often, which is a given really, sometimes even shedding a tear or two, and laugh, oh boy, do I laugh. She is hilarious, the thoughts and situations these characters come up with. I read this book and devoured it, I was hooked from the very first page, so much so, that I couldn’t pass up listening to the audiobook when it released today. I liked the cover a lot, especially the audiobook cover's inclusion of the narrators names. I like that it's similar to the MVP cover but still distinctly its own. Although it is a sports romance you don’t have to be a sports fan to enjoy it. This is a story about love, a story about family, and a story about following your heart.

Jones is all the things. He is sweet and sexy, funny and charming. Jillian is the ultimate professional, she’s the person you want on your team. As a football fan, I’m telling you, I want Jillian taking care of my guys. I loved that her outward appearance was the total opposite of how she really felt, especially where Jones was concerned. Her inner monologue was hilarious. The sexy times were timed so perfectly for this couple, they suited the story and the situation. They were steaming too. The way their relationship progressed was so very J&J. The way they tried to fight how they felt and neither knowing the other shared their feelings. There wasn’t a lot of conflict, which again, I really liked. The banter was pure perfection, I love that anyway, and Lauren Blakely always writes the best banter, this couple was no exception.  I looooove these characters. Jones and Jillian, it even has a nice sound to it, right? The supporting cast (so to speak) is really fun, too. It was great getting to have that little catch-up with Cooper and some of the other guys… and women from MVP. The family aspect of this book was a wonderful addition, it’s something that we see a lot of from athletes and including it for Jones’ really gave an added dimension to his character. Cletus, oh my word! Yes! I adore him so so much. I want him in my life.

I’ve spent the day listening to this dual narration and I have no regrets. I was so excited when I heard Most Likely to Score was going to be from a dual POV, Zachary Webber was fantastic performing Most Valuable Playboy, but getting both POV’s for this book was a great idea. Once I heard Zachary would be back and Andi Arndt was with him, I was super excited, their voices blend so well together that each book really is perfection. Both Andi and Zachary have a great range and each character sounds distinct and individual. Their performances always bring all the emotions to the surface, I can’t help but react, whether that’s laughing, swooning, or even shedding a tear. I couldn’t imagine anyone else narrating Jillian and Jones. The production was smooth with no issues, I loved the cheering and football sounds at the beginning and end of the production, it gives it a nice flair.

*At the end of the audiobook is an excerpt from Hard Wood, narrated by Sebastian York – I’ve listened to this book and let me tell you, it’s fantastic, you’ve not heard anything until you’ve heard SebYo narrate a cat. If you need more convincing, listen to the excerpt, it’ll whet your appetite.

Jones and Jillian have been tip toeing around their attraction for one another for a while now. Jones is trying revamp his image from playboy to good boy. Jillian is his publicist and she is working hard to make this happen. Jones and Jillian together are gold! We got to see different sides of each characters and I enjoyed those moments as well. I loved the banter, chemistry and the sexual tension was off the charts hot!!

Here is where things get tricky. I am a huge fan of Lauren Blakely but this book didn’t work out the way I wanted in the sports aspect. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good story and her writing was flawless! But when it comes to sports romances, for me there needs to be a certain balance of sports and romance. I LOVED the romance but I wanted more sports especially since I’m a big football fan.

"I don't date players."
hahahahha You silly goose.

The publicist and the football player....forbidden. Oh well, we're going to do this anyway and we are going to pretend we can stop but you know we can't. So now what? No worries! Lauren knows how to sort a love story without causing me any anxiety and I love her for that.

Reading a Lauren Blakely novel is always a good time. She pens these fantastic contemporary romances that have a good balance of swoons and humor that I just eat right up. Most Likely to Score is all that and more.

Most Likely to Score is about Jones Beckett, the star receiver of the Renegades, and Jillian Moore, the Renegades's publicist. We met both in Most Valuable Playboy (the first book in Lauren's connected standalone sports romances--check out my review) where we learned that Jones has a thing for the brilliant publicist. In Most Likely to Score, we find out that Jillian has been crushing hard on Jones for a long time, but ever the professional she kept that locked up tight. Jillian has learned early on in her career never to mix business with pleasure. Neither was aware of the other's feelings. While Jones takes every opportunity to flirt with Jillian, to her that's just how Jones operates--he's a very friendly, amiable guy and she enjoys their banter. Besides, Jones's new sponsorship deals depend on him cleaning up his past playa reputation and Jillian is just the person to help him out. Starring in Jillian's new pet project, a charity calendar, is a step in the right direction for Jones. But, as the two of them work and travel together for the photoshoots, the harder it is to keep a lid on their feelings for each other.

Okay, you know that part in the synopsis that goes And oh hell, did Jillian ever drag her nails down my back on one hell of a hot night. Okay fine, it was several hot nights on the road. That actually didn't happen until past the halfway point in the novel. The first half were Jillian and Jones getting to really know each other. Even though they'd worked together for a long time as player and publicist they realized there's a lot they don't know about each other. Like, the fact that they're both very family oriented people. But, the more they get to know each other and spend time together, the more their feelings grow and trying to keep things strictly professional between them become harder and harder. When they finally get together, all their pent up lust and feelings made for, as the synopsis says, one hell of a hot night.

Jones may be is my new favorite Lauren Blakely hero. He was the perfect mix of flirty, charming, and alpha. He's kind and caring and he loves his family and want to take care of them, and he loves animals. Plus, he's a sexy football player to boot! As for Jillian, if I can't be her then I want to be her best friend. She's smart, confident, she's brilliant at her job and has the respect of her co-workers (including the players), loves clothes, she's really close to her widowed dad, and I love the fact even though she was adopted from China when she was a baby and considers herself a California girl, she embraces her Chinese culture. Jones and Jillian were great characters individually, and together their chemistry was piping HOT.

Lauren Blakely did an excellent job with this slow burn forbidden romance. I thought it was paced wonderfully. I liked the sweet moments between Jones and Jillian in the first half of the book, all the while their repressed feelings for each other simmered beneath the surface. If a slow burn forbidden romance with the perfect amount of humor and swoons is your cup of tea, I highly recommend you pick up Most Likely to Score.
