Legitimately scarier than some Stephen King books.

Nostalgic. The stories aren't really scary as an adult, but the art is still creepy.

Not so scary to me as an adult, but still good and good for a laugh at some points. I could see this being fun for kids to scare each other.

The first installment, like all the books in the trilogy, are beloved and well-remembered by people of my generation, 80s and early 90s kids. However, these books have become “banned” over the years, mainly at the public-school level. It was in elementary school when I first discovered these twisted tales with their haunted imagery..."
