An excellent and vivid introduction to a less-known world of myths and legends.

Important story. But mostly about bunch of bored guys using other “dwarves” as entertainment.

I think this is a me issue rather than the book. It was definitely informative for someone who knows the bare minimum about Norse Mythology. It helped me to further consolidate my knowledge of the different myths and gods and goddesses that are involved. However, I felt like it dragged. It may have been that the writing style wasn’t for me but I found myself struggling to get through this book.

Enjoyable! Very easy to read and follow the simple, straightforward language. I especially liked the notes for each telling, to give more information and background, and a deeper understanding of where the story came from.

amazing book if you’re interested in such topics!

i wanted to read about Norse mythology for a long time, but none of the books i’ve encountered had such a clear explanation

the Edda books interpretation are confusing, but the author clearly put a lot effort to research and lay out the legends in the most clear way possible, and informed the reader about other key info

a must read for Viking and mythology lovers⚔️✨
