Oh, Heather Wells. She got a bit insufferable over the last book or two, but was back to her charming self for her final adventure. Loved seeing everyone again, and LOVED that Meg didn't give her a magic ending. Marrying Cooper was enough, and she nailed it.

A light, frothy, fun series with mysteries added in. I always go to Meg Cabot when I need a laugh, but there's also a lot of heart and I'll be sad to say goodbye to Heather Wells :)

A great conclusion to the series! This series has been one of my personal favorites from Meg Cabot, because I relate to it quite a bit (well, not the murdering parts, but I did work in Student Housing for years and she gets those little touches perfectly.) and Heather one of my favorite protagonists of hers. She's fairly level-headed compared to some, and logical, and has that snappy wit I love about Meg's books. I always enjoy Meg's writing of young adults, but I love her more adult-focused books.

This murder mystery felt a bit more tame than some of the others, but that was fine, because we needed to wrap up early enough to get to Heather and Coop's wedding. It was a perfect ending to a fun run of books. Looking forward to what Meg has up her sleeve next!

HERE on The Book Addict's Guide 10/4/13:
I've been a fan of Meg Cabot for YEARS now and entirely because of the Heather Wells series. This was one of the series that got me back into reading when I was in my reading slump so I owe my sister a big thanks for letting me borrow these books way back in the day! I actually don't read a lot of adult fiction anymore since I'm busy reading ALL THE YA BOOKS so it was really nice to fall back into some chick lit and a touch of mystery with the latest Heather Wells book.

While I haven't actually started my wedding planning yet, I felt like I could relate to Heather a little bit with her crazy wedding plans! (This may also be the point I realized that I might actually start to enjoy adult lit more than I used to because I've actually been through some LIFE THINGS now haha!) Heather always has a lot on her plate, but I love how much she really cares about the kids in her dorm. When everything else is going wrong, she's always got their best interests at heart, sometimes even over her own personal issues.

One thing I've always loved about Meg Cabot is the amount of humor in her books. Each chapter starts with a funny little collection of song lyrics, written by Heather, and in this book, they're all about her crazy wedding plans. I think it helps the reader not take the book too seriously because there are darker subjects because hi, it's a murder mystery -- Except you almost don't feel like classifying it as that because the tone IS so light. I definitely had another good group of laugh out loud moments at both characters and funny situations!

Then of course, there's Cooper. I am SO HAPPY for Heather Wells! I've been reading this series for YEARS so I'm so happy that she gets her dream guy (and he's dreamy too)! I've always loved their romance and their relationship is just so natural. Somehow I forgot how funny Cooper is too! I always felt like he was more serious... Which I guess he is, but he and Heather have some seriously hilarious conversations.

It's actually kind of hard to review this book because overall, it was just a nice, quick, and easy read. Sure, the plot was exciting and interesting but the Heather Wells series has just become a "fun" read for me and as much as Heather's personal life changes, it's the standard go-to mystery. It's definitely for a light reading kind of mood and if you're a fan of the series, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

This book, like all the others in the Heather Wells series, was lovable.

Although it is the final installment, I wasn't upset that this was it, because it was such a good ending.

Heather and Cooper are getting married, but that wasn't really the plot, it was more of a side note. There was no drama surrounding the wedding (except Heather's mother showing up unexpectedly), and there were no doubts between Heather and Cooper. They have such a strong, healthy relationship, full of love and support.

Although this book felt a little more slow moving than the rest of the series, I thought it was really interesting, especially with all of the drama surrounding the murder, and with who the killer turned out to be.

We really got to know a lot of the side characters more, and got to dive into Heathers relationships with her coworkers and the people in her life. Her mother was such an interesting addition, and I thought Cabot did a great job dealing with the emotions that Heather felt towards her mother.

Although I was sad to say goodbye to these characters, I really loved this last book and was really happy the way that it ended.

Go read this series! I read all 5 books in a matter of days, because I just wanted to know how they ended, and could not get enough of Heather, Cooper, and all their friends.

These Heather Wells books are ridiculous and nearly comic book level of intellectual stimulation but they are silly and fun and I enjoy them very much for what they are.

Good for reading on airplanes or while at the pool or when you are too tired to read anything that requires actual thought.
