This is one of those books where you do hate to part with the characters at the end. The plot moved nicely. It manages to feel deeply cinematic while not relying on too much excessive scene description. I loved it.

while this book was genius and impossible to put down, i did find certain characters extremely irritating and the book got frustrating to read at times because of their actions. however it was still a great read.

This story has amazing characters. I even liked the sociopath. The pacing was plodding, the atmosphere lacking, and the ending crap.

The tone was very uneven, sometimes picaresque road adventure, other times much darker. An opaque central character, and a very late introduction of another character. Overall I was disappointed although I could appreciate the work.
