Good, but the idea of Pippi Longstocking is perhaps a bit more powerful than Pippi on the page. Funny how that happens.

I think if I had read this when I was 7, I would have enjoyed it a lot.

Now as a grown up I suppose I want a little more meat and less nonsensical antics. Don’t get me wrong, Pippi as a free spirit not letting anyone force her to do things is awesome, but as a character she doesn’t learn much or overcome any challenges.

A fun read, doesn’t hold up for grown ups to enjoy in quite the same way children can.
