Het boek leest ontzettend makkelijk en je gaat helemaal mee in de verhalen. Het blijft vreemd dat er zoveel narigheid speelt in het leven van de karakters en dat ze ook toevallig allemaal uit hun eigen omgeving willen vertrekken om op de bonnevooi naar Portugal te gaan. Maar toch is het allemaal heel herkenbaar en op veel momenten zelfs grappig. Je merkt wel dat de schrijfster niet helemaal meer weet hoe de nieuwe generatie werkt. Wie mailt er nog naar zijn vrienden? Hebben we niet allemaal elkaar gevonden op social media? Noemen we elkaar echt bro en geven we elkaar koosnaampjes? En praten mensen echt hardop tegen zichzelf of stuur je je alterego een voicebericht? Er zijn wel echt een paar dingen in het boek waar ik mijn vraagtekens bij had. Toch wil je verder lezen en weten hoe het met alle karakters gaat. Ik heb zelfs een paar traantjes moeten laten en leefde echt mee met ze. Vooral het einde is ontzettend mooi en het boek staat vol met tips en bemoedigende woorden.
