some nice prose here and there but other lines were a bit trite. i did appreciate that, as a YA book from the 90s, it avoided some modern staples like a heroine who insists she’s plain until the love interest declares otherwise. rather character- and relationship-driven but a bit weak on both counts. additionally, maybe i’m getting old but… …i think it’s a bit irresponsible to write a book for teenage girls in which the 16y/o female lead ends up with a 24y/o man who has also been sexually aggressive to her throughout

This book has not aged well, but I think I'm keeping it as a guilty pleasure - that's all I'm gonna say about THAT. I think it might be fun to read for people/girls who are within the ages of 15-21 and would like to read about the adventures of a self-confident horny werewolf teenager, but Definitely do not take any morals away from this story. Whew!
