This was incredible. A great depiction of anxiety and the stresses of growing up and learning how to adapt to change. The art is wonderful and full of expression!

THIS BOOK. This middle grade graphic novel about anxiety and panic disorder is brilliant. I love love LOVE Fung's art and color work. And her way of personifying anxiety is perfect and relatable. This is definitely in my list of top graphic novels.

As a person living with anxiety, I empathized with the main character in Living with Viola. Viola was the character’s name for her anxiety.

Her anxiety, Viola, was controlling her and she struggled to cope with her anxiety, whom she named Viola.

Living with Viola was about becoming your own person and trying to deal with anxiety, especially if you have a severe case like the main character did.

I empathized with her in her case because I have severe anxiety too and I deal with mine through relaxation, medication, and arts and crafts.

This is an important Juvenile graphic novel about anxiety and friendship and coping with the ups and downs of middle school and first-generation life. I hope this book finds the kids who need it. After the last few years, I know there are a lot of them.
