Enjoyed this. Felt a bit slow towards the end, but it was very cute.

This series has just been one hit after another and this installment was no different; I loved every minute of it. As much as I can appreciate the sunny and cheerful nature of someone like Harris, as a bit of a grump myself, I immediately had a soft spot for Troy. He starts off the novel as reserved, broody and angsty, and I loved seeing Harris and the rest of the Ottawa team break through his defenses. He really did deserve to be free of everything and everyone that was bringing him down in his old life. This novel is a great redemption story and was a perfect mix of angsty and sweet. I also can't go without mentioning the perfection that is Ilya Rozanov, even as a supporting character. We all know he and Shane’s sequel is up next and I am bursting at the seams with excitement.

I don't get the high ratings. It was just a description of how they spend their days. I think there should be something interesting in each scene. Some call it 'conflict'. It can be an annoyance, hope, longing, quarrel, self doubt, risk taking, set back, hiding something, a lie, the number of options is enormous.
That conflict is what keeps me interested in the next scene, forever.

This just went on and on, and when there was a real conflict it got snowed under avarage days and conversations without the author ever hinting to the problem, to keep the reader worrying about it.

I listened to it twice, now. Finished it two hours ago, and can maybe remember 5 scenes.

What an amazing, uplifting story. Rachel Reid has worked her magic yet again to merge hockey with a heartfelt, inspiring romance.

Excellent addition to the series. I like how this book took a good look at toxic masculinity and the work one character takes to overcome his past behavior.
