A lovely ode to community theatre, but a bizarre narrative style for a murder mystery makes it a great book about community theatre, and a very mediocre book about a murder

This is written in epistolic format. I recommend the hard copy over digital.
It's hilarious.

I loved diving back into the world of The Appeal. Janice Hallet knows how to write charming, snarky, witty characters.
This felt a lot more straightforward than The Appeal, which makes it a good quick read to pair with a warm drink and a chilly day.
