I'm obsessed with Hank and Isla and their story. Their love is passionate and raw, and I loved how Hank was finally able to open and and be vulnerable. It was so beautiful to see Isla stand up for Hank and finally give him the peace he deserved. This story was definitely more emotional than book one, but Hank's story deserved that. I'm so happy he gets his HEA. And it was so nice to see Isla get her family that comes with unconditional love - the one thing her life was missing and she was craving.

I loved that we got to see more of Waylon and Marlee (and the rest of the gang) as well. I love the Thayer family so much and need MORE

Hank and Isla have such fantastic chemistry that you can feel the steam coming off of the pages. Isla is independent, strong minded, and is a get it done kind of person…needless to say she takes the small town by storm when she rolls in. She was the perfect heroine for Hank who is tormented and broody and oh so lovable! I can’t wait to return to this small town soon!

Alexandra Hale takes us back to Clementine Creek and I couldn’t be happier to be with the Thayer family again.
I have been looking forward to Hank’s story and it was more than I could have hoped for. He’s growly, broody and closed off but underneath all that he’s protective and loyal to those he loves. Isla has a huge, generous heart. She is strong and sassy and comes out swinging, not only for herself but those she cares about. (Can everyone say ‘life goals’?!) While Hank and Isla are opposites with their grumpy/sunshine and city girl/country boy, at the heart of it they are also so very much alike.
Life, or rather someone, has dealt Hank a bad hand and he’s been hurting and guarded for a long time. I absolutely loved seeing Isla break through that tough outer layer and love him for who he is. Their journey is fast, intense and steamy but it fits so well with who they are. These two love big and they love hard.
Clementine Creek feels like home and the whole extended Thayer family are people you would love to call friend or family. I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

This book was a bag of emotions. Worst the FMC has the same name as my bff.

We met Hank in book one as the MMC's brother. Isla is a city girl who Hank knows is better off staying away, but his body is telling him something completely different. After she left the big city behind, Ira decided she needed time and space for the life she didn't want to live anymore. She may look rosy from the outside, but she's always had a hard time proving herself to Ira. As they move from oil and water to pure fire, they learn that life is more than they thought and the other was the missing piece.

We got a really nice book in which this story was written. Hank has so many layers, and his years in prison have changed him in so many ways. Family is still the first priority for him, but from there he learned that everyone acknowledged him for what happened in the past. Aira is wild and strong, but she just wants to get her own way.

AHHHHH!!!

I have so much love for these two! Isla because she’s fun, funny, so amazingly down to earth even though she literally comes from wealth and doesn’t let it define her.

Hank because he’s quiet and broody but yet he does EVERYTHING out of deep rooted love and respect for his family.

I love how they balance each other in so many ways. They aren’t opposites so much as two sides of the same coin. They don’t exist without the other side.

I love how the girls just folded Isla into their flock like there was no worries to be had also.

This book was so much fun to read!

All. The. Feels.

Hank is such a loveable grump and Isla compliments him perfectly.  I loved every page of Making it Country.  Alexandra Hale just got added to the auto buy list with this gem.
