This was a delightfully quirky, sarcastic, sassy, and somewhat unhinged memoir. Unlike many celebrity memoirs, Carrie Fisher’s writing comes across genuine and painfully honest. I particularly enjoyed listening to the audiobook as I read along, especially hearing the 1970s journal entries in her daughter’s voice.
Spoiler Her referencing comic cons as lap dances was both hilarious and sobering at the same time.
Spoiler It’s truly fascinating to hear her thoughts on the character she portrayed in Star Wars, as well as her experience filming and with fans.
Spoiler If anything, her affair with Harrison Ford is the least interesting part of her story.

Loved this audiobook because Carrie’s narration is so her, well obviously. Otherwise I didn’t feel like this book had too much substance... unless you are the worlds biggest Star Wars fan and in that case I highly recommend to you. But if you’re a casual fan like myself this one is a passable book. I definitely will be checking out more of her memoirs because I love her commentary on life and who she was as a person. But overall this beauty is a 3/5 #ripcarriefisher

Carrie Fisher is Leia. But also not quite. Within this "diary," we are given the opportunity to dive into a far more intimate and personal facet of the beloved Carrie Fisher. She made the daring choice to take on a role in a low-budget movie, which subsequently propelled her to iconic status in the hearts of people.

This biography is sprinkled with the delightful and sassy humor that was Fisher's trademark. It was a profound and insightful short read about her life. Recomended for anyone who wants to know about our forever intergalactic heroine.

I wish I would have read this book before my first Comicon... Would have changed my perspective. I feel more at peace with Carrie's death now knowing that she had a very full life and seemed to have an appreciation of even the smallest things. Her writing style is a bit neurotic but in an endearing way. She analyzes celebrity in the funniest way. She was definitely the people's princess. RIP.
