I absolutely loved this book more than the other ones so far. I am in love with Beast and Gaeton so much. But my favorite is Gaeton. He was everything I wanted from him. Is it crazy that I thought this was the most character development from the series?

Not my favorite of the series, just lacked the drama that could have been.

This tale of Isabelle, Gaeton & Beast is very similar to Learning My Lesson which featured Meg, Hades & Hercules. The biggest difference is that both men used to date Isabelle but they had since broken up.
I know the plot isn’t the point of this series, nor of Katee Robert’s work in general, but it would be nice to see a little more background on why anything is happening. Instead we just get told how important an event is or that not taking action would result in something bad. The series in general explains that these villains each have “territory” in the city but we are not told how this really works. The best I can surmise is that they are akin to gangs and there are regular people in the city who have absolutely nothing to do with anything but it’s pretty unclear.

This was interesting in ways the rest of the series hasn't been thus far. Spice is never boring
