The tie-in to Olympus and Sabine Valley was a surprise. I didn't think there would be, since Olympus has their own Hades already, and I don't think this is the same one... Curious what it means to have two of them in the same world. I'm totally reading all these books out of order 😅

I know the plot isn’t the point of this series, nor of Katee Robert’s work in general, but it would be nice to see a little more background on why anything is happening. Instead we just get told how important an event is or that not taking action would result in something bad. The series in general explains that these villains each have “territory” in the city but we are not told how this really works. The best I can surmise is that they are akin to gangs and there are regular people in the city who have absolutely nothing to do with anything but it’s pretty unclear.

As with the other books in the series there is a high level of sexual content containing BDSM. There is frequent discussion over the character's shared grief over the loss of Isabelle's father - prior the start of this book. There is brief discussion of death and cancer in relation to the loss of the father, but it's a glossed over topic.lihim30's review
