I am very biased with Chloe Liese. I absolutely love her and she can do no wrong with me. This sweet story is no exception. I fell in love with their enemies to lovers which was always love. It’s sweet to see Bea and Jaime show up now and then too from the first book in the series.  Worth the read!

i hate to say it but i don't remember much that happened in this book. do i remember enjoying it and having a good time? yes. but i did the audio and read it over the course of almost two weeks which is WAY longer than i normally do, so i honestly don't remember much (plus this review is like three weeks later)

Honestly, my favorite part of this was how we didn't focus on the family's reaction to finding out they were together. It was focused on them.

true enemies-to-lovers. no third act break up. excellent addition to the story. Excellent representation of ADHD.

Taylor Swift songs: “The Way I Loved You (tv)”, “I can see you (tv)”, “Daylight”

Age rating: 15+ (around 4 spicy scenes, 2/5🌶️)

Literally Chloe Liese continues to make mmcs that are PERFECTION!! Christopher is literally the most down bad human being besides Ren Bergman (from “always only you” by Chloe Liese). UGH I LOVE HIM! He’s my second fav Chloe Liese man besides Ren!! I love the childhood nemesis-to lovers, but he’s secretly always loved her trope!! Their relationship is so sweet, caring, tender, and considerate while also having super electric chemistry!! And there is no miscommunication or third act breakup!! Screaming, crying, throwing up at this book truly. There were so many quotes from Christopher that made me stop and take a second, because I was giggling and screaming.

I also liked Kate’s character growth in that she doesn’t always have to put herself in stressful situations/occupations to feel like she is accomplished, and that she can have a joy that brings her joy and peace. Overall, loved both of their character arcs!!

Again, Chloe Liese has amazing representation in her books! The fmc is demisexual and has ADHD, and the mmc has chronic migraines!

You literally cannot go wrong with a Chloe Liese book.

This book was a beautiful reminder that being neurodivergent or struggling with self care does not make you unlovable or unworthy of love. So thoughtfully and deeply well written with care and attention for each character and detail. A Chloe Liese staple. I related strongly to both MCs and in turn was thoroughly immersed in their stories and relationship. Chloe has written the most incredible men in this series so far. Perfect examples of the female gaze. I can’t wait to see who she writes for Juliet!

Chloe Liese can do no wrong, she always delivers a cozy loving romance with a smattering of spice. This one is a Taming of the Shrew retelling. Never fear, if you’re a 10 Things I Hate About You girlie there is still a paintball scene! I liked Christopher and Kate, they are two people you root for individually and as a couple. I really enjoyed all the scenes with the entire friend group. The one thing holding this back from 5 stars was the connection- their childhood “enemies” background didn’t make much sense to me it felt like a weak reason to be antagonistic with each other for so long. I also wanted more swoony moments. Chloe is an excellent author though and I still enjoyed this one and would recommend it!

This one was fine. Didn't quite like it as much as the first book. Still appreciated the neurodiversity and sexuality representation in characters and the main characters were gentle with and good to each other once they got to the point... Just started off really in conflict.

Dunno exactly what it was that didn't quite hit, but I think it was that I just didn't understand how Christopher was surprised that his efforts to get Kate to hate him ended up making her think he hated her. Like, he was genuinely shook by this revelation. I mean, if you're being a jerk to someone to drive them away then of course they're going to interpret that as you disliking them. That just took me out of the story a bit.
