Cozy mystery about a riches-to-rags divorcee. Her older husband frauds many of their friends and ends up in jail. Zero romance. Maybe in the next book. This former Park Avenue resident now lives in a trailer park/campground in Normal Kentucky. She doesn't know how to live like this. The townspeople and residents of the campground are mostly her former husband's victims. Awkward to say the least. Because it's a mystery a dead body shows up at an inopportune moment. Not really scary or violent. Will read more because they're audio and I want to know if Mae West ever finds love again after her idiot ex-husband has destroyed her trust.

DNF 23% can't decide if this book needs editing to improve the flow or had the flow edited out of it. Inconsistencies, spelling/grammar errors, sentences that just end in the middle. Conversations that make no sense.
The main character is also an enigma, she was married for 5 years, she's 30 now, how did she survive till age 25??
Also, how did she burn through 100.000 dollars on gas and food in a few days? (This is implied but seems nonsensical, it feels like either the money should not have existed or been her start up fund)

For a novella this book was just fine. The characters we fine, the writing was fine and the ending was pretty good.
My biggest complaint is the audiobook narrator. Perhaps the books would be a bit better if read instead of listened to.

You can’t judge a book by its cover and you can’t judge a town by its brochure. This book was a great read and turned into a really great series. I wish I lived in Normal, Kentucky.

Light. Silly. Good hearted story about a woman trying to remake her life after her husband’s Ponzi scheme.
