It was a bit dry and I had other things to read.

This book is written on the premise that 1. Cryptozoology is a bona fide field of science and 2. Cryptids exist.
As a sceptic who is fascinated by the stories and beliefs surrounding cryptids, I found this to be a mostly enjoyable read. The science and evidence doesn't support the existence of cryptids as much as Freeman claims but I did appreciate that he included examples of case where known animals were more likely the cause then unknown animals.
The book covers a wide-range of cryptids and despite the sometimes painful attempts at humour I enjoyed more than I expected to.

I feel like if you’re a cryptozoologist you gotta be at least a little bit humble lol
