It was good! I feel like oathbringer and RoW feel like the same book to me. I feel like these books have been very… heavy… length wise, emotionally, mentally… really enjoyed it and enjoy the world and now I’m really excited for Truth and Wind to come out. I really enjoyed seeing more of Navani and the viewpoints of Venli and the listeners/singers and the fused. A lot of banger quotes. Idk it’s so hard because like I did really enjoy the book but I don’t have the same feelings and vibes I had coming out of words of radiance or the mistborn series, so that’s why it got a 4.

another excellent story, i liked how things developed i.e.,
the tower and bringing the lights together, those scientific advancements
, its going to be super interesting
especially with odium being replaced, did not see that coming

one thing though does irk me
is shallan's character arc, it is taking a long time to fully flesh out her growth. obviously i didn't see her having another pattern, that was interesting but please hurry up omg

This was an interesting read for sure but did not hold my attention the same way as the first three. But i will say the closer and deeper dive into the cosmere’s world building  science and Sprens is interesting. And I’m looking forward to the next book in the series to push us and prepare us an audience for the next cycle in the series.

Not as fluid as the previous 3 books. It felt like
the idea of the cosmere was created during this book so all the context around it had to be added in. At times it was too much and either broke the flow of the book or made it feel like a filler for the next novel in the series.

I hugely enjoyed this 4th installment of the Stormlight Archive. The plot had me gripped from start to finish and with
the occupation of the tower
it truly felt like nobody had plot armour.
Navani's discovery of anti Voidlight, leading to the reverse engineering of anti Stormlight
has really raised the stakes in the struggle for power between the Radiants and the Singers.

Adolin's trial
as a B plot was good, but I would have preferred the consequences of the ending be a little more fleshed out - perhaps we will see this in book 5.

Oh Kaladin, just when we thought you couldn't be put through any more, you are. He really is the epitome of human resilience and spirit of will.

I thought the pacing throughout was good despite the book being around 1000 pages.

Eagerly awaiting the 5th installment in December!
