“I will burn this world for you, omega. I will destroy everyone who ever hurt you, whoever forced you into something you didn’t want. And then I will rebuild my kingdom with a throne for you to rule from.”

+ Omegaverse
+ Fated Mates
+ Primal
+ Possessive Alpha Male/Anti-hero

I am obsessed with Omegaverse and binging it lately, but Noire is such an original take on it with dystopian theme and Maze Runner/The Labyrinth of Crete vibes. The world building is incredibly in depth and intricate, but there was not an overload of information nor was it hard to keep up with. The Maze is crawling with monsters and the wealthy pay to have their enemies sent to the Maze to be killed. Diana has lost everything to Rama, an Omega that oversees the Maze and holds all the power, but plans on saving Noire (the MMC) and his brothers to overthrow Rama. The action is impactful and hard hitting and I love how intelligent Diana is. She's gentle, but still snarky, and it softens Noire's edges, but she is still fierce.

Noire can be read as a stand alone as there is a HEA for the main couple, but does end on a series cliffhanger. I'm incredibly excited to read the next one and am glad that my book club introduced me to Anna Fury!

This is the first book I have read by this author. Instantly, i was sucked into this book. I could not read it fast enough. In fact, i finished it in one day. There are so many monsters to make a monster romance lover very happy. Although, i do have to admit that when I was picturing the monsters, all I could think about where the ones from the campy horror movie, Cabin in the Woods. All those monsters trapped in rooms waiting to be released.

I love Noire and Diana. Right away i could feel the sexual attraction between them. It just grows stronger and stronger the more time that they spent with each other. The intimate moments between them were so HOT.

Additionally, i want to take a moment to call out the rest of the cast of characters. They were all great. I was cheering for them all. I can't wait to read book two. In fact, i rushed to go get book two and saw that it does not come out for a few more weeks. This book is an instant must read that will have you "knotting" for more!
