Thoroughly enjoyed this one! Strong female protagonist torn between love interests. Very Hunger Games ish but also very different. Excited to read more!

a bit tough to get into, unfortunately. but I began to really enjoy it ¼ of the way through. sticking with the series because of what everyone else has been saying about TOG.

also. choal and dorian are both so fucking annoying and ugly, rlly hoping there are better romantic prospects for celaena in the future or entire new romances entirely. miss sarah rlly dropped the ball on these boys

Oh so stupid and I loved every second of it. Plagued by Maasisms.

Better than the prequel. Not good enough to be 4 stars though. The plot was sloppy and predictable. It took a while to get into, but about halfway through it picked up. I’ll read the sequel just to see what happens.

I'm tossing between 4 and 4.5 stars for this one. The beginning was extremely slow and nothing picked up until about 50% into the book. With that being said, everything eventually started to fall into place and make more sense. I love the characters so so much. I couldn't put this down. SJM lived up to the hype.
