I listened to Hester as an audiobook and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. It was such a fun listen. I really enjoyed this book and have been recommending it to others all week since finishing it.

The reader is AMAZING and adds so much to the story. The flashback vignettes make sense and aren't too confusing, which is fantastic. I am in love with the MCs voice; she's smart & passionate & talented. The descriptions of her hyperfocus are magical.

For essentially being prequel fanfic of The Scarlet Letter, this is a really powerful story that stands on its own two feet. The last few minutes of the story gave me goosebumps.
