Being back in this world was just so comforting and nostalgic, maybe that makes me bias but I don't care I'm still trash for it and can't wait to read more.

In a truly shocking twist of events this absolutely slammed.

Spoiler Zoey accidentally releases Zombie Vampyres from an AU where Neferet took over. Sick af.

Awful, but I think maybe a younger crowd would enjoy.

<3<3<3 Een nieuw boek over The Nerd Herd.

*spoilers ahead*

So this is the first book in the House of Night other World Series, following on from the House of Night series.

Summary - So this book starts off following the ending to the previous series. We get a cute glimpse into Kalona and Nyx enjoying their loving reunion in the other world, whilst watching over their favourites (Zoe and the “nerd herd”). Next we get a warning to Zoe from ‘Kalona’ that Neferet is stirring and the spell sealing her away from society may be weakening.

Of course the gang puts together a casting circle on site to attempt to draw extra protection against Neferets evil, but things go awry when Aphrodite’s mother crashes the party with a news crew, causing chaos to erupt and spells to backfire.

Enter a portal that crosses between alternate universes, the return of (other) Jack, Zoe’s brother Kevin, some red army soldiers and a few zombies for added flare.

The nerd herd have to come up with a plan to send everyone back to their original world, whilst training Kevin to become the ‘saviour of the world’ in place of Zoe.

Review -
I can honestly say I loved reading the House of Night series, it’s a cosy feel good read for me and so this add on series in many ways feels much the same. We have the same characters, follow on story lines and all the vibes we know and love.
Do I think this series could have ended approximately 4 books ago and we could have happily moved on with our lives? - yes.
Will I continue to read any further books they bring out in relation to this series, just because? - yes of course.
However do I have any expectations to be blown away with new material any time soon? - no, I think the storyline has progressed as far as it can, but I’m still glad to read more.

From the first time I read the house of night series I have been in love with them and when I discovered that they have made a new book, I new that it wouldn't disappoint me, and it didn't. When I first began reading it I had a hard time coming really into the book but after some time I just couldn't put the book from me. I just like how it was written how much the characters have develop and that you get a glimpse of some of their past life.

It is a year after the Nerd Herd has saved the world from Neferet. Everyone has gone their separate ways, until Zoey is visited in a dream by Kalona. He warns that Neferet is stirring again and that she and her friends must stop it. Kalona leads Zoey to Neferet's journal, where they will find the ammunition to stop her. As the friends come back together to develop a plan, they learn that not everything has been going hunky-dory. Stevie Rae misses home, Damien's depression has begun to make a resurgence, and Aphrodite is cracking under the baggage her mother forced upon her. As all of the characters are battling their inner demons a horde of zombie vampires is unleashed upon their world. They will all need to face their challenges in order to be a true help with this new problem.

The characters are back! I missed this world and got sucked back in. However, this felt like a side-quest or a musical episode in a favorite long-running TV show. It didn't feel as developed as the first few HoN novels. This did feel like a love letter to the fans the Casts gave readers nearly everything they could have wanted, but I keep circling back to too much of a good thing.
