A good book, some funny writing, I enjoyed it. It was a fairly quick read but a bit stressful as there is a lot of focus on topics that cause the author stress and anxiety, but overall well written and an engaging read.
Moderate: Alcoholism, Rape, Sexual assault, and Sexual harassment

The book reads at times more like a memior then essays but they blend into each other in ways many other author around her (twenties to thirties) fail to write compelling memoirs/collections. I think some reviewers are expecting finality to the essays that does not exist in real life truly. Her humor I loved but I could see how you either do or don’t but I think she has a very valid and important as a young woman reading this from a different country and background.
Moderate: Alcoholism, Body shaming, Chronic illness, Death, Homophobia, Racism, Rape, Sexism, Sexual assault, Death of parent, Sexual harassment, Colonisation, and War

dnf @ 65%
This was my second attempt at reading this book. Last time was a dnf @ 22%.
Maybe I have outgrown this sense of humor but there is nothing delightful in Koul's disparaging and pessimistic mood throughout the entire book. She is so overwhelmingly negative and bitter and it does not improve and her writing displays zero awareness. Everyone she writes about is somehow painted in a negative light without fail. It is exhausting. You will gain nothing from this book.
Also for some reason my edition of the book had the n-word hard r in it multiple times but it seems like on Goodreads it has it censored. Not sure if my edition was how it was originally released. Which if true then what the fuck.
(I did relate to her in speaking abt immigrant life and online harassment but it is not enough to offset all the other shit you have to slog through.)
