A woman trying to start over with a tragic past and an artist looking to move forward with his life meet at Seven Deadly Sins a BDSM Club. Overall really fast paced, I finished in about 3 hours. Has a ton of spice and the overall story isn't bad. If you like spicey fast paced reads this is for you.

Thank you Erin Coal for the Arc!

This was an ARC, being released July 1. Dang, this went from 0 to 60 in a matter of pages. Super smutty and it was glorious. There was some plot too :-p

I AM HATING IN THIS ENTIRE REVIEW, BUT REGARDLESS
Thank you to Erin Coal and Book Sirens for the advanced reader copy

I tried to like this, but the romance was too fast-paced. It was like 20% in, and they already seemed in love. That isn't a problem; the main problem was the wording. Tell me why they used BIOLOGICAL terms to describe their body parts during *the scenes* ''clitoris'' ''Labia,'' Like kill me. Also, I thought we as the book community, also agreed to stop using the word ''Member'' but you know that adds to the list of cringe for me. ''sweet nectar'' Dear god, please stop, the way my face showed pure agony,,,, was enough for anyone else in the room to probably since I wasn't enjoying this book. ''Womanhood'' do I even need to explain? also, this man was crying, growling, whispering and BREATHING for the word ''Mine'' This man was exclaiming, question marking and the way ''Mine'' was thrown into every other scene was like were experimenting was ''How many different ways can I put the word mine in my book?'' Also, I'm so sorry, but I imagined the MMC screaming like a child whenever dialogue like this appeared ''Mine!'' He cried He cried? Why'd you take his toys away from him or alternatively ''Mine!'' He growled Girl bye, someone give him his toys and let roleplay.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. I knew it would be spicy, but it was more than I thought. I did really like that it also focused on the relationship behind the spice, and tried to represent what this kind of relationship can look like in real life, in a safe setting. I have no idea if it's accurate or not, but it felt like it was done far better than other books with BDSM storylines! I'd read the rest of the series.

Tropes:
Dom/Sub
BDSM club
Insta-lust
Lawyer heroine
Artist hero
Dual POV

Very fast-paced, which was a bonus. I think I would have enjoyed it less if it was unnecessarily drawn out. This was definitely more smut less plot but still enjoyable. I liked both of the main characters but kind of wished there was maybe a little bit more time spent on developing their relationship. Because there was very little plot, their relationship felt very close to insta-love/lust... but that's just how it felt like to me.

The conflict in the story felt a little disjointed because we don't really get that character development, and things moved really quickly as things were resolved. Honestly, this book was basically centered around the budding Dom/Sub relationship and how Laurel awakened that part of herself with Joe's guidance. That alone was fun to read. Everything else was just extra.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
