This was a crazy book but also predictable. I loved reading the part where Luke was in the Institute, but some parts were slower. Overall, I think it was paced well, he just described every little thing that happened. The ending was kind of unsatisfying and very open ended, but it ended how it needed to.
Graphic: Gore, Torture, and Kidnapping

Absolutely love Stephen King’s writing. The size of the book intimidated me, but the story kept pulling me back. Such a perfectly written story with a greatrending.

Whew, first Stephen King novel down! This was a monster of a book, but damn was it good. Having never read anything by King before I had no idea what his writing or storytelling was like. He has a very unique omniprescent point-of-view and I feel like that is impossible to do well, but he does. This novel started out slow, but once you're in it it's addicting. I have no idea how this man comes up with an idea as fucked and otherworldy as this but if you are the least bit interested in, let's say, Area 51 type shit, this might be up your alley.
Every page leads to the same question: what is moral? The alternating point-of-views are plenty but thanks to his omniprescent voice it never gets confusing or overwhelming. I know this isn't "classic" King but now I want to dive into "It" and see how his storytelling has evolved over his career. Overall, this is a powerhouse of a mindfuck and was well worth the time it took to read.

Hands down the best Stephen King book I've read so far. Apparently I prefer his newer work to his earlier work?
I had a few issues with the kids' dialogue, but otherwise this was great.

If you loved the X-Men as a kid, this might be your cup of tea. I personally loved the X-Men and this felt like an X-Men fanfic on crack in the best way possible.
Moderate: Kidnapping and Child abuse
Minor: Car accident

Stephen King back at his best
For fans of SK this book is one that follows his most loved formula, great characters, particularly the kids, and a good old David & Goliath battle between good & evil. It has tones of his very early books and I thoroughly enjoyed it

It was weird how he would refer to young girls by their boob size and he couldn't help himself with a Trump jab.
