listened on audible
TJ is an american author, fresh into London
Jude is an actor, they meet in an steamy encounter and find out they are also roomates - for a short while until a 7 year gap, when they meet again...
No HEA for this one as it continues in the series, but the relationship and banter between the two was fun especially on audiobook which has a full cast of voices. Not sure I would enjoy quite as much on kindle I think the audible cast made it better!

Story, as always the case with Lauren Blakely books, had it book magic moments where things wouldn't go as smoothly in real life as it did in the fictional one. But overall it was enjoyable for one word. I liked that sex wasn't the main page filler and the characters really seemed to be vibing as persons while also being interested in each other sexually.

The audio, was like TJ's favorite adjectif super. Just superb. I'm not gonna lie, there were times when I lost track of who the guest narrator was supposed to be narrating, but even though this is my like second ever full-cast audiobook, I really dig the full-cast narrating.

Also, even if I still sometimes cringe at Teddy Hamilton's voice, his narrating style is slowly growing on me.

That end, I at least had a hysteria attack. What a twist! I was really worried about how they would go from lovers-to-enemies in a convincing way but color me impressed, they really did, and I have no words. It's a good thing the next book isn't coming out before my exams because if it did, nothing could keep me from it.

I liked their 3 weeks in London. I even liked how they ended things and made their pact. I really liked the angst as they both longed for each other. I don’t even mind the traumas that led them to overreact… but the refusal to talk about it is infuriating!

Nobody does quirky witty banter quite like Lauren Blakely, and I loved the connection between TJ and Jude. Their meet-cute was perfect and I enjoyed them getting to know each other and seeing their attraction and relationship grow. Looking forward to the second book of the duet to read the ending to their story.
