Though it started out slow and I found it hard to get into, it eventually hit its stride and I was quite pleased with the outcome. Much more focused on the relationship than the mystery, yet the action was still thrilling.

This book wasn't bad, but from the reviews that I had seen I was left expecting a little more. I have quite a vivid imagination and find that when I read I always like to be able to picture the scenes and the characters in my head, and this usually comes easily to me. For some reason, I found that quite difficult in a few places whilst reading this. I'd still like to read the following book in this series to see what happens next, but I might wait a while.

Just been listening to the audio of this, which is a nice way to revisit it. It's the first Josh Lanyon story I ever read, so it's the one that first turned me into a fan.

I have been in a bit of a book slump recently and this book saved me. I absolutely LOVED everything about this - the setting, the characters, the romance, the tension - everything! Josh Lanyon really is the master when it comes to well written, perfectly executed chemistry and drama. The angst is perfectly balanced with some very lovely tender moments that make for a highly satisfying and entertaining read. The characters are nicely fleshed out with various flaws and eccentricities making them nicely engaging and endearing (not to mention bad-ass ... which I love). It is amazing how much awesome goodness this author is able to pack into a relatively short read (novella)! I love this series and love these MCs ... I'm hooked and looking forward to the next books in this series!

This was a great quick read and got right into the meat of the story. I liked the HFN ending, wishing there was more, I know there is more to the series. Loved the lack of communication between the characters at first glad it was resolved. Looking forward to the rest of series.

Quite good. Taylor and Will had great chemistry and were surprisingly well developed for such a short read. There was a good blend of action and emotion.

Nice story with a good pace, interesting plot and good characters. Relatively short but follow up books in the series continue the story of Taylor and Will. This book (number 1) focuses on the start of their relationship and Will's reluctance to move beyond work partners.
