Mastered by the Zandians by Renee Rose and Rebel West is an alien warrior reverse harem romance which follows Mirelle as she tries to rescue human captives but is captured herself by Lanz and Domm, aliens from Zandia who take an interest in her and want to keep her/learn her/teach her.
I found this to be an interesting take on an alien romance. The way the zandians are described and their interactions are unique and very interesting to read. There are some great sexy scenes and some light hearted mixed in with the tension. An overall engaging story.

This book was a bit of a mess. Lots of time jumps with few details. Also there were several threads of thoughts or ideas that were completely forgotten by the author. I left wondering where a particular person was at the ending of the book. She was mentioned, then seen at a table doing school work and then completely forgot by the by the end of the book. Weird. Rushing books shows.

So kickass freedom fighter Mirelle gets captured by Zandian warriors Lanz and Domm and taken as their mate. But Mirelle was born to be a fighter and save humans. Can she be mated and keep saving lives?
This was an ok read. I loved Mirelle as a character. She’s independent and strong. I didn’t really like her being held captive. I just wanted her to break out, however nice her captors were. As they mentioned in the book, by keeping her captive they were squashing all the special things which made her so attractive.
I liked how it all resolved itself in the end though. The sex scenes were ok but nothing great. It’s light BDSM which isn’t totally my thing. You punish me? I just want to kick you in the balls. You want me to call you master? I just want to kick you in the balls. You see? It’s just me.
I just felt they were a little surface sometimes, but the action was good and it was a fast-paced read.
