This was a little better. I liked the parallels between Brightly trying to steal America's identity and power and cultural appropriation. At least, that's the parallel I think Rivera was making. In addition to the (slightly heavy handed) focus on self empowerment, I think this plot also had a message about white people trying to steal power from marginalized groups for their own gain and America wasn't having that. I thought it was a good ending.

I didn't care for the rest of it. I feel like America's supporters are nameless to me aside from David and X'Andria. I still have no real clue what purpose they serve. It's like watching them play video games and speak to each other over the phone or something.

I have one more issue left.

I really want to love this series and I think it has a lot of potential, but the story is so rushed and it feels like the author wants to do too many things at once, which is making it really hard for me to fully enjoy. There are some good issues here and there and I'm definitely going to check out more comics with America in them, because I do love her as a character
