Cute, predictable, easy read. I enjoyed it. But there's no real mystery. The writing is not sophisticated at all. But it was a fun, quick read.

I enjoyed reading a story that had cross-stitch as an important element of the story. I liked the characters and the overall story.

Nice 'gentle' NON-murder mystery. It was rather refreshing to read a mystery that was NOT about someone dying for a change. Interesting read, and it was a bit hard to put down though not much truly 'exciting' happened. Was fairly well written and intriguing. A little predictable near the end, but not in a bad way. Did seem odd that people got so 'fixated' on this image. Then again, sometimes odd things capture the imagination and anything is a break from the routine.

This book was given to me by my mom and it's been sitting on my shelf for years. I finally decided to read it because it's light reading.
It's about Annie, a woman about my age, who moves to her Grandmother's house after her G-mother passed away. She spent her summers there as a child/teenager and going back was bitter sweet.
She finds a life in this small town and makes some friends which opens up endless possibilities for her. She joins a needlework group that sets the scene for the whole story. Well told and very heart-warming.
I was completely drawn into this book.

Easy read and draws you in. I enjoyed it although I kind of guessed the solution to the mystery before I finished the book, but it was still enjoyable finding out I was right and the full details leading up to it.

Annie has inherited her grandmother's estate - Grey Gables. While there she comes across a gorgeous cross-stitch in the attic with a mystery as to who the woman in the piece is. And so begins her quest into unraveling the secret of 'The Lady in the Attic'.

This wasn't filled with thrills or cute pets intervening like most I've read BUT it is jam-packed with solving a mystery, heartfelt intentions and love for friends.
