Did not realize this book was a novella so it was only 110 pages. Okay good with a good plot line, I actually wish it was a little longer

this book was cute! it was a short novella but it was exciting and an easy read! it delivered what it said it was which was a quick, good read; nothing ground breaking but a good enough book to pass the time

I love books set in different countries, especially Greece, it holds a special place in my heart. Sarah and Liam are off on a literary adventure to find some special artifacts, but it's too bad that Sarah can't stand Liam after leaving her without word 7 years ago. He was her one and only and thought she was the same for him, but it's clear that he had other ideas when she won the job that they both were competing for.
Well, she won't let him get to her now. While they are viing for the same artifacts, people are getting hurt and it's quite possible the only way they will survive this voyage will be if they work together. Liam isn't letting Sarah out of his sight, he has a lot to atone for and wants to make things right and explain what happened all those years ago.
I knew tha there had to be more than Sarah's perception of what happened and I am so happy that they were able to work through their issues. I loved him, he never gave up on them. This was a fun adventure and I loved the banter between these two.
Thank you to Dreamscape, Jenn McKinlay and Netgalley for an early audio review copy.

This was a fun adventure! I enjoyed the island adventure as much as the 2nd chance romance.

Part of the reason for the rating is that it was so short, and felt a little bit underdeveloped. It was my fault for not realizing it was a novella ahead of time, but I still can't help but feel like it was so quick that everyone felt a bit flat as a character. The thing that worked well was the setting and premise. I kept wishing that this was longer, and wanting something more akin to the Lost City (Sandra Bullock movie).

It didn't really go into much into who Sarah and Liam were and what their relationship was like while they were together until the very end.
Spoiler The only inkling of who the villain(s) turn out to be is an offhanded 2 second exchange between two of the other characters, and that didn't seem like enough for this to stand on.
Spoiler

My last complaint is that there is not much background on the Greek-myth-that-might-be-true, and unless you already know about Paris, Achilles, etc., it would leave you behind trying to piece together why this is so significant a discovery. Overall for me, the execution didn't live up to how original/interesting the premise was.

This could have been like a full length like intense mystery romance thriller and had more layers so the villain wasn’t obvious but I did enjoy it still
