Way more heartfelt than I expected from a little
Holiday fake dating novella. Although I shouldn’t have been, after reading Next of Kin. Even in this condensed story, Evan and Clara are given space to be, to learn who they are, and to come to realizations that neither expected, but in retrospect make perfect sense. And Clara’s parents are exactly how parents should be.

Listened to the audiobook and it was really well done! The book was a duet narration and each chapter switches POV between Clara and Evan, which I loved! This was such a sweet, fluffy holiday romance that just warms you up inside due to how kind the book treats the characters. Clara and Evan's love story made sense and the progression felt natural -- and the SPICE! Wow, for sure a short book it could have read like erotica but instead the spice felt well earned and fit without distracting from the plot. I loved the demi/ace-spec rep, ADHD rep, and Autism representation too. This was so well done!

This is a BEAUTIFUL friends to lovers story. The audiobook is always definitely worth the experience. The family dynamics (one family disowning their daughter, the other family showing love regardless) tug on ones heart strings and I may or may not have shed some tears.
Hannah Bonam-Young is quickly becoming one of my favorite contemporary romance authors.
As always, Lori Prince and Jenn Lee knocked it out of the park.

What a cute holiday novella!
I wish I would have wanted to read this until Christmas !!!
My only wish was for it to be longer

I really love this author but this book felt rushed. I wish it was a novel so the story could be more developed.

Very easy and enjoyable read. It's nice to have a queer love story to turn to when looking for a kind of rom com book
