I've been a fan of PostSecret for a while now, I visit the site every Sunday to read through the secrets and feel things. A lot of times I feel relieved someone else out there feels the same thing I do, other times I want to hug the sender of the card, a few times I've been angry with a secret. But at it's core, this is such a cool project. This book was the usual collection of post secrets, all interesting and touching and emotional (any and all emotions covered), but it also had some cool behind the scenes info. I especially liked the interview with the mail lady that delivered a huge chunk of the secrets and her experience with the project. I recommend PostSecret to most everyone and this book is no exception.

I think the app kind of diluted the project. I also feel like the secrets/art are less authentic, moving, and alive than they were in the beginning.

I actually thought this book was rather depressing. Dx

I can't make you love me but I can make something that you'll love.
I believe in karma. I preach love. I live with loving intention. I know a person I would kill without remorse.
I find more spiritual comfort in libraries than I ever have in any church.

A definite guilty pleasure book. I read these pretty much all in a big rush. Forever ago I looked at the website and promptly forgot about it. This was full of crazy secrets. It runs the gamut from happy to downright depressing. I loved the extra stories from the postal worker and hearing how in some cases folks were able to help others in need. I have never sent in a secret.

For me, PostSecret has never been about 'the perfect secret' or controversial secrets or anything. It's always just been about the secrets - they're kind of a small window on other people's lives. For that, this book is chock full of them (and the news that Frank Warren may not be doing the project for much longer.) It was certainly a good way to pass a few minutes at a time, flipping a couple of pages.
